Wes Bearden
Managing Attorney
Wes Bearden brings a unique dual perspective to complex litigation—combining over 30 years as a seasoned investigative professional with his credentials as an experience trial lawyer. As the second-generation leader of Bearden Intelligence, Inc., established in 1972, and the managing partner of Bearden Law Firm, PLLC, Wes understands that winning cases requires mastering both sides of the equation: facts and law.
Licensed to practice in multiple states, Wes went to law school specifically to better serve his attorney clients. This investigator-turned-lawyer perspective allows him to identify what evidence is discoverable, what is admissible, and how to develop the factual foundation necessary to tell a compelling story at trial.
Wes handles complex civil litigation, critical business disputes, wrongful death and privacy law matters. His practice focuses on developing facts through strategic investigation and discovery, translating those facts into persuasive legal arguments, and guiding clients through high-stakes disputes involving fraud, commercial litigation, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims.
A recognized leader in the investigative profession, Wes has served as the past president of both the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, Inc. (“NCISS”) and the World Association of Detectives, Inc. (“WAD”). Wes also served as General Counsel for the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators, Inc. for over a decade.
In 2016, Wes became the youngest recipient of the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators' prestigious Hudgins-Sallee Award. Wes has also been awarded the Wayne J. Wunder Memorial Award from NCISS in 2022 and, in 2025, he received the John J. Duffy Memorial Achievement Award on behalf of WAD.
Wes is a frequent lecturer for bar associations and professional organizations nationwide, teaching on topics ranging from privacy law, investigative procedure, and trial techniques. He is a member of the Texas Bar College and the Eldon B. Mahon American Inn of Courts.

"Any dispute boils down to who knows the facts the best and who can tell those facts to the jury. Here, we deal with both sides of that equation."
~ Wes Bearden
